Update - Monetary Assessment

Please be advised that we will be sending a new appeal against our $211,800 assessment to the Bishop by Friday, June 20.  This appeal, or remonstratio will be done similarly to our previous appeals.  This appeal has to be made within 10 days of the Vicariate meeting where we received the assessment amount.  The Bishop then has 60 days to respond, or not, as was the case with our earlier appeal.  After the 60 days we will then appeal to the Dicastery.  The Dicastery, as for previous appeals, has 90 days to respond to this latest appeal.

We must continue to focus on our faith and pray for this process to be fruitful.  Prayers for our team, our Parish, the EMCC, our families, our special intentions and peace in the world should easily keep our prayer life full.
