Newsletter February 20, 2025

Highlights:

  • Father Chris published a letter regarding our status as a parish.  It was not announced but was left at the entrances to the Church.

  • Our website and Facebook page are active.  Over 230 unique visits to the website have occurred.  Facebook views are nearly 1500.  Over 600 Facebook accounts saw our most recent newsletter post.

  • A letter to the editor was submitted to the OTH on February 16th regarding our status and pending appeal.  No response has been received regarding publication.

  • Save Our Buffalo Churches continues to support all appeal efforts

  • Procurator Mandates – Over 125 have been signed by parishioners, an like number by non-parishioner, interested parties.  Marked up parishioner lists are available showing who has signed – we need to get more parishioner mandates. You must be 14 years or older to sign

  • Financial Review package – 5 year look back and forecast – attempting find an owner for this document.  The Festival committee met this week and targeted July 19 for our large raffle and drive through pizza pick up.  An Italian dinner and music event is targeted for September 27.  We must remain financially viable through collections and events such as these.

  • Infrastructure Assessment – Dennis Pezzimenti – in process

  • Trust Fund – 5 officers required – 3 have committed (Pat O’Malley, Mike Kelley, Dr. Tom Delaney) – thank you! Need 2 more.

We need to continue to target having our appeal documents ready by mid-March.
